How do I adopt?
Please complete the adoption application. Once received, we will review and process your application within 1-2 weeks. Please email scoobysrescue@optimum.net if you do not hear back after 2 weeks (14 days).
How much does it cost to adopt?
Our standard adoption fee is $500. All adoption fees go towards veterinary care, medication, accessories, and more. *Fee may vary
How will I know if my application was accepted?
We do our best to promptly respond to each email, inquiry, and application. Please monitor your email account (and check spam) and phone to ensure we can contact you.
How will I know the dogs medical history?
During the time of your meet and great we will discuss the dogs medical background, vaccinations, and any medications the dog may need. You will also receive a copy of the dog's medical record for your keeping.
How will I know the dogs background?
We don't always know where they came from or what they've been through. Our team spends countless hours working and getting to know the dogs so we can find the best-fit home.
Adoption Policy
Please remember that the dogs happiness and safety is our #1 priotity. To continue reaching our goal, all adopters must:

be 21 years of age or older

live in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, PA) or Massachusetts

pass a background check
-
complete a home inspection
-
get their dog spayed/neutered
-
provide training (either professional or at-home)

love dogs!
